In Episode 2 of our Podcast, we speak with James Holland about the first book in his new trilogy examining the events of the Second World War, The War in the West – Germany Ascendant 1939-1941.
A few months back I had the pleasure of speaking with James about the launch of his book the War in the West in which I found out a little bit more about what it took to write and research, a few very interesting facts about the operational level, war in the Atlantic and Operation Goodwood that I did not know. We find out what is next for James including the release of his new book on the Burma campaign which is out next month (and which we will be speaking to him about in due course) as well as learn of some exciting news for those lovers of the Jack Tanner series!
This Second World War Q&A was not originally intended for use on the podcast, so I apologise for the audio quality at times and the occasional interruption of my cat who decided to become a guest on the interview half way through. Regardless, we hope you enjoy listening and find it of interest.
